After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BBA in 1982, Jay began his career with Mingledorff's Inc. at an inside sales position in the commercial department. After a year and a half of training in that position Jay attended and graduated from Carrier's six- month engineering and sales training program in Syracuse, New York. Upon returning to Atlanta in 1985, Jay began a 21-year successful sales career with Mingledorff's in the metro Atlanta area selling both commercial and residential equipment and supplies. While with Mingledorff's, Jay attended numerous equipment application and sales seminars and in 1996 was named the National Bryant Territory Manager of the Year. Jay left Mingledorff's in 2006 for an opportunity to work in Atlanta Gas Light Resources marketing department. While at AGL Resources, Jay worked with the Natural Gas Advantage Dealer program and called on mechanical engineers to promote the use of natural gas-fired equipment in various commercial applications. In 2007, after the retirement of Les Wells, Jay came on board with JayKay Sales and is currently a partner in the firm. He also has been exposed to many different types of equipment, supplies, and parts as well as their application and installation.
